What Are the Only Seven Ways to Get Rich?

A few days ago, I read an interesting tweet that got my full attention.

Executive Speech Coach, Patricia Fripp, tweeted a message that said "Only 7 ways to get rich."

Instantly, my mind said, "Oh, really, what are they?"

Yep, I was a skeptic, but I had to find out what the seven ways were, so I clicked on the link to find out more.

On her blog she shared information from the resource, "Get Rich Click" by Marc Ostrofsky.

I was amused by the list of seven ways to get rich. Why? Well, I feel that if I had thought long and hard enough, I would have created the same list.

Okay, maybe not the same list. But if I was playing a game of Family Feud, I would have surely given one or two of the right answers to help my team take control of the board.

At any rate, here are the seven ways to get rich according to Ostrofsky:

1. Inherit it
2. Marry it
3. Invest it
4. Win it (i.e. lottery)
5. Work for it (i.e. be an employee)
6. Steal, deal, con, or break the law for it
7. Become an entrepreneur.

It is number seven that I really love on this list.

Having worked for the past eight years as an entrepreneur building my speaking, consulting, and now coaching business, this list gave me confirmation that I am on the right path toward my riches.

WHAT IS REQUIRED OF ME FOR W.E.A.L.T.H. UNIVERSITY?

1. You must be willing to face the truth and you must be willing to fix it. This means you will review your credit report, your budget, your bank statements, your retirement goals, and your streams of income.

2. You must commit to one individual 60-minute coaching session with Lynn Richardson per month. This will be an individual session set specifically around your goals and your personal financial situation.

3. You will work with Lynn Richardson to create a Financial Success Strategy and you must log in daily to report your progress.

4. You must be an advanced or master coaching client with Compass and participate in a minimum of 2 group coaching sessions per month. Remember, more money doesn’t solve a money problem. If it did, millionaires wouldn’t go bankrupt. Since money doesn’t solve the problem by itself, you will need to align all of the other areas in your life in order to achieve permanent transformation. This will be supported by a daily MAP (Monthly Action Plan) designed especially for you to get through this year of transformation.


WHAT IS MY INVESTMENT FOR W.E.A.L.T.H. UNIVERSITY?

b. Your credit report – order all three credit reports with your credit score at www.truecredit.com.

c. Your retirement statements

d. Your bankruptcy papers

e. Your mortgage statements

f. Every bill you pay that you can think of, such as:

i. Rent, mortgage, taxes, credit cards
ii. Student loan papers
iii. All automatic withdrawals
iv. All memberships (for the entire year)
v. Utilities, cell phone, etc
vi. Everything
