The Start of Something New

Hey Career Advancer,

Today is the start of a new month.

The start of the first day of the last month of the year.

The start of something new.

What is that something new for you?

I know for me, today is the start of reviewing my quest towards achieving my professional goals.

Eleven months ago, I started the year with a theme that included my professional goal of using social media for business purposes.

I have a history of hesitating with using social media for business purposes.

Truth be told, I have a history of "kicking and screaming" with the thought and efforts of using social media for business purposes.

But this year, I did less "kicking and screaming" and more "liking and posting."

That's progress for me!

On this start of a new month, I celebrate my progress and give thanks for the opportunities that allowed me to make progress on using social media more consistently this year.

I actually used it more this year than I've done in the past four years when I first set social media as a goal and theme for my year.

I'm amazed that I feel less frustrated by using it and more confident with my understanding of how to use it for business purposes.

Today marks the start of me seeing evidence of my progress with achieving my professional goal.

Today sets me on a committed path to start something new with my social media skills.

What exactly will I do?
